Billy Heckman joined the CHSPS in February 2023 as a Simulation Assistant helping out with a wide range of needs throughout the center. He soon became a Standardized Patient and used his acting background to further assist the Center in various simulations. Billy and the admin team noticed a need for a concrete team member primarily focused on the execution of simulations and related logistics, so he then transitioned to work behind-the-scenes as a full-time Simulation Program Coordinator in September 2024. Billy holds a BA in Theatre Performance from VCU, and outside of VCU's Medical Center, he is a musician and a working actor in the Richmond area with credits hailing from theatres such as Richmond Triangle Players, Swift Creek Mill, and Richmond Shakespeare. He has also acted in film & television on programs such as AMC and Apple TV+.
