Freddie Stevens joined VCU in September 2025 after serving 20 years in the United States Army, retiring in August 2025. During his military career, he held key leadership roles, including Operations Compliance Manager, Maintenance Program Manager, and Logistics Program Manager. In these positions, he implemented agile methodologies, developed predictive analytics for resource planning, and managed large-scale projects with global teams. Among his most significant achievements was collaborating with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies across Europe and the Middle East, successfully leading multi-national teams and coordinating complex operations with both military and civilian partners.

He holds a Master of Science in Information Management & Project Management from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice & Corrections from Allied American University. Freddie is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Scrum Master, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Demonstrated Master Logistician, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

As Simulation Technology Supervisor, Freddie leads our team of Simulation Technology Specialists and oversees daily operations, maintenance, and support for all simulation technology at VCU's simulation center. His vision is to ensure the center remains at the forefront of technological advancements and continues to provide students and faculty with realistic, advanced experiences.
