Having been employed by the VCU Department of Surgery in 1990, Susan has spent the past 22 years in surgical education. Surgical simulation is her passion and she enjoys implementing new curriculum and hosting simulation activities. She considers it a privilege to have had opportunities to partner with surgical residents and faculty on a number of scholarly activities including presentations, publications and research which can contribute to improved quality of care and outcomes for surgical patients. As a member of the ACS AEI Consortium, Susan has served as a member of the Patient Education Committee and currently serves on the Administration and Management Committee.
