The VCU Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety is a collaboration between the VCU School of Medicine and the VCU Health System. It is located in two facilities: a 25,000sf facility in the McGlothin Medical Education Center and a 5400sf facility on the 2nd floor of the VCU Health System’s North Hospital.
Since its formation in 2008, the Center has initiated and supported many extraordinary educational events. Types of educational offerings range from technical and procedural skills training to patient interviewing and examination skills to interprofessional team training and crisis management. We provide training across the continuum of healthcare education: Medical students, nursing students, residents, and practicing healthcare providers from all professions.
